I am a New York native, born and raised on Long Island. This is where my adventure in Tattooing began. I graduated from F.I.T. in Manhattan, receiving my associates degree in General Illustration. From there I moved South to sunny Florida were my brother from another mother, Seth Reynolds and I had ambitions to open a tattoo studio. We settled in Ft Lauderdale and eventually worked for the famous Funhouse Tattoos in Pompano Bch for a few years. I learned a lot working with those guys. Much props to Ian Joseph, Rob Soli, and Sicko for the opportunities and wild times.
Things were good in South Florida, but it always came back to our original goal, to open our own studio… so Seth and I packed up and moved out west and opened our first shop in Pacific Bch, San Diego. This shop happened to be the West Coast Division of Funhouse Tattoos. Within the course of 5 years, we had expanded to 3 locations in the San Diego Area…and it was good. Each shop is filled with great Artists and character gallor. Check them out if you are in the area. You will not be let down.
During this time I also wrote, illustrated, and published a book called THE ISNESS OF NOW. Check it out online NOW!
Speaking of “Now”…I have since left the west and my long time partnership for a little peace of mind and the closeness of family, returning to the East Coast; Florida in Particular. Update
As far as what kinds of Tattoos I prefer to do, I am pretty much excited about all styles of tattooing and willing to take on most projects…That is unless it is TRIBAL. Dont get me wrong, I love the way it looks but I do not enjoy doing it…so I dont. I prefer to stick with my style, so if you want fine-line, fantasy, spiritual, color, black and gray…I got you. Tribal? One of the other guys can take care of you.
